Rich Farm Ice Cream opened for business on July 3, 1994 by David and Dawn Rich on what is known as Ajello’s Farm. The dairy farm was originated five generations ago by Dave’s great-grandfather, Raffaele Ajello, on Great Hill in Seymour, Connecticut.
In 1950, Ralph’s son Thomas purchased 100 acres in Oxford and moved his farm there. Later, in the early ’70s, grandsons Don and Dave Rich took over the dairy business and continue to operate the farm today. The ice cream shop was opened by Dave and his wife Dawn, along with their children, to enhance their already existing dairy farm.
All of the ice cream is made daily on the farm, using only the highest quality ingredients.

All of our ice cream is slow churned in small batches using the best ingredients we can find. From Dutch Cocoa to pure double strength vanilla extract, we use nothing but the highest quality. Each location makes their own ice cream and waffle cones daily, the same we we’ve been doing on the farm since 1994. Each tub, quart and pint is mixed and filled by hand. We take great pride in crafting our ice cream and we hope you enjoy!
Very good ice cream and waffle cones! Everything is made in house so that is a plus. Noticed multiple types of sugar/dairy/vegan friendly options on the menu. Pies, sodas, apple crisp and ice cream in togo pints all available to sell as well.
I got 2 scoops of the German chocolate fudge brownie ice cream with peanut butter, fudge sauce and whipped cream. Service was quick and pleasant. The ice cream was amazing! Big pieces of brownie, more than enough sauce! I will definitely be going back soon!
Best ice cream I honestly ever had! Got the pumpkin flavored and it was so good!! Definitely going back.
This place is the cutest. The young lady at the window was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the most delicious treat!! Very rich, creamy and affordable. Would definitely return if I’m in the area.
The best ice cream place around. Great people, great service and excellent ice cream.
